Stay connected with the world heritage studies network

Welcome to the alumni community of the Dual Master’s Programme World Heritage Studies/Cultural Heritage at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany and Deakin University, Australia!

This website gives you many opportunities to stay connected with the two universities, to discover events and networking activities, or to explore various career resources aimed to help you in your field. Above all, this is a way to get and stay in touch with old friends, to share stories and to find new inspiring connections for your personal and professional development.

This initiative was realised with the financial support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Studying in Cottbus

Cottbus is located in the State of Brandenburg, halfway between the vibrant cities of Berlin and Dresden. The town is surrounded by many green areas, including the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Spreewald, with its idyllic waterways and forests, or the Branitz landscape gardens created by the eccentric Prince von Pückler-Muskau in the mid-19th century. The charming old market place, or the old industrial sites surrounding the landscape are reminders of the town’s versatile heritage story.
